I took my first photograph when I was on a backpacking trip in the Sierra Nevada Mountains when I was 12. It was then I knew I wanted to capture my vision through the lens. As high school years passed I found my photography classes becoming more of my focus. I spent endless hours in the darkroom, developing film and printing B&W images. I traveled on many photographic expeditions with my uncle, a talented photographer, who taught me about light, shadows, and composition.

As high school graduation approached I had dreams of becoming a photographer. At 18 I headed off to the legendary Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara. Being the youngest in my class I welcomed any advice from my peers and opened my mind to creativity unknown to me. It was there I learned every technical and artistic aspect of photography and my dreams grew larger. I graduated from Brooks in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts in Commercial and Illustration Photography. From Santa Barbara I moved south to Los Angeles where I worked at a prominent stock agency and commercial photography studio. After 5 years in Los Angeles, I moved back to my hometown of Lake Tahoe to start a family with my husband, Casey.

I am now based in Texas where I continue to make images for clients throughout the country. Photography is not only a part of my life, but a lifestyle. With each image I make, I strive to keep my style fresh and produce images that go beyond my client's expectations. Whether it is the grass blowing in the wind or a child laughing, I want the viewer to feel that wind and hear that laughter.
